Wow, You Know I’d Really Love to Go Out with You, But I’m Baking Cookies for a Funeral Home that Night
If someone you were interested in said this to you, what would you think?
It’s true, though. I really am baking cookies for a funeral home! I was being honest! How do you convince someone of this?

First of all, how do you feel justified in making one post per month… at this quality!? I’m sorely disappointed. Second of all, if you think your excuse, however truthful it may be, could sound bogus, maybe it would be worth it to either tell him a) that you would like to take a rain check, or b)that you already have plans. A combination of the two is also effective. If you told me you were going to be baking funeral cookies, it’s not likely that you’d be getting a call from me again. That’s just me though.
P.S. Just wanted to point out that my response to your post is almost twice as long.
Well, I went to the Jazz game last night and that’s the best I could do. Sorry, sometimes it comes and others…not so much.
I was thinking I’d just take him some of the funeral cookies. That’d be good, right?
The cookies may be your salvation… but if you don’t have interest in going out with him, just forget about it.
